LOCTITE SI 587 – Blue, general-purpose RTV silicone sealant with superior oil resistance
LOCTITE® SI 587 is a metallic blue, oxime silicone paste used for gasketing and sealing applications in plant maintenance and variously sized OEM applications. A form-in-place gasket/sealant, it has been designed to provide outstanding sealing performance against industrial and automotive engine oils. Its thixotropic nature reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate and allows for reliable quality control e.g. in dispensing automation as well as manual applications. This product is typically used in demanding applications up to 260°C (500°F).
General-purpose, 1-part silicone adhesive sealant, which cures at room temperature to form a tough yet flexible rubber gasket. This form-in-place sealant can be used for gasket replacement and gasket dressing.
