LOCTITE 128068 – Purple, slow curing, semi-flexible sealant for rigid metal flanges
LOCTITE® 128068 is a purple, medium strength, high viscosity acrylic-based flange sealant that cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It cures very slowly to avoid shimming between flanges, and is designed to seal close-fitting joints between rigid metal faces and flanges. It will flex with minor flange movements and is therefore typically used as a form-in-place gasket for transmission housings and axle covers, where it provides resistance to low pressures immediately after assembly.
A 1-part, semi-flexible, very slow-curing acrylic anaerobic sealant for machined, rigid metal flanges. Suited to medium strength form-in-place gaskets.
